Toutefois, je n'en presente qu'un tableau raccourci; car, pour traiter completement toutes les questions que souleve ou auxquelles s'applique cette science, dix volumes ne suffiraient pas, et j'estime qu'elle est parvenue a ce point de developpement ou les ouvrages qui embrassent l'ensemble d'une science ne peuvent plus etre que des precis, des manuels, ou des traites elementaires, sous quelque titre qu'il plaise a leurs auteurs de les publier.
