REA's test preparation book includes two full-length exams with detailed explanations based on official exams released by the administrator of the TASP. Taken by full- and part-time students entering Texas public colleges, universities, or technical institutes, the TASP was designed to ensure that students obtain the skills appropriate to their grade level. Failure to pass any TASP section will result in the assignment of remedial course work in that subject. However, studying the comprehensive reviews in this book will fully prepare the student to pass each section. Reviews in mathematics, reading skills, and writing skills are presented along with tips and sample problems to help develop reading and writing skills, as well as problem solving ability. All exam sections and review material were prepared by test experts in the educational field to assure their accuracy, difficulty level, and application to the actual examination.

Yuri Lotman (1922-1993) was a prominent Russian intellectual and theorist. This book presents a new reading of his semiotic and philosophical legacy. The authors analyse Lotman's semiotics in a series of temporal contexts, starting with the rigidity of Soviet-era ideologies, through to the post-Soviet de-politicization that - paradoxically enough - ended with the reproduction of Soviet-style hegemonic discourse in the Kremlin and ultimately reignited politically divisive conflicts between Russia and Europe. The book demonstrates how Lotman's ideas cross disciplinary boundaries and their relevance to many European theorists of cultural studies, discourse analysis and political philosophy. Lotman lived and worked in Estonia, which, even under Soviet rule, maintained its own borderland identity located at the intersection of Russian and European cultural flows. The authors argue that in this context Lotman’s theories are particularly revealing in relation to Russian-European interactions and communications, both historically and in a more contemporary sense.

From USA Today Bestselling Author KL Donn comes the second book in the Decker Brothers duet, Time Bomb, a firefighter romance. Tick. Tick. Tick. My internal clock. It’s the sound I hear when I look in the mirror; it’s all I hear when I go on these blind dates that my friend, Laken Decker, keeps setting me up on. Date one was a banker—all about numbers. Kind of boring. Date two was nice—until he wasn’t. Date three was WHOA! A hot firefighter—Torque Decker—who kissed me like he was trying to steal my soul. Date four was not the hot firefighter from date number three. I wasn’t looking for another date from anyone—except maybe, the firefighter. Let alone seeing him again when a small fire nearly ignites outside my coffee shop, The Cup. Now, I’m burning up with attraction for the sexy man who has captivated me and forced me to look forward to what the future could bring. Tick. Tick. Tick. I was uncertain of what to expect when my brother and his wife set me up on a blind date with her best friend. Ophelia Montgomery is way more than I bargained for. She speaks her mind, goes for what she wants, and man, can the girl kiss. Her mouth says she doesn’t want more, but her body speaks volumes. She wants me. But she won’t call me. So I’m the one to make the first move. There’s isn’t much I won’t do for her after that first kiss. After the way she melts for me so sweetly. Ophelia is my future, but there’s someone out there looking to take her from me. I won’t let it happen. Tick. Tick. Tick. Love is a Time Bomb, but we have a lifetime to explore and fan our flames. We hope.
