Poetry of the Heart and Mind is not simply just about loss, love, and pain. It's much more than that. The author wanted to convey simple words to bring out the deepest emotions many people choose not to show either because they think it's a sign of weakness or not manly. It was a way for the author to his head straight from life. The author chose to share his thoughts with the world to help those who think there is no one to help them. Knowing everyone has different ways of dealing with life's crazy turns, just remember to always look on the brighter side of things and push forward. Know when one takes a chance to experience new things because they simply never know where it can lead you. Life is too short to dwell on what was. Focus on what one can take from their past to create a brighter future. Writing is very therapeutic for the heart, mind, and soul. As you read this book, you will experience love, passion, anguish, self-doubt, compassion, and eventually hope. There is help everywhere. Talk to a close friend or family member, write, sing, play an instrument, and find what works. Don't waste time because it is short and valuable. Cherish every moment because life will always throw a curveball! The author's hope is that after the reader finishes reading this book, they'll understand that even though people have different circumstances, they all still have basic and fundamental commonality, and that's being human. 2

Poetry's heart to heal the soul is based on some very touching inspirational things I have gone through in my life. With god as a guide and a light, I've been through many things and everything I've gone through I put it into love I call poetry, it's about good times and bad but always a meaning to explain life at that particular moment in time. It is a passion I have for life and the miracle it stands to be that I put into words. I see life kind of like music and a dream, and the power to create our own fate. A lot of it is gratitude for where I stand and my love to serve in this world, my wishes to help. Some of this literature is on religion some on limitless love, emotions I call a dimension on so many levels and outlooks I guess that's why it's poetry. When I write it's like my mind is filled with words and an understanding that I put to words in hope to interest or love in someway. I hope it is like a piece to a puzzle in some way or justice or helps someone to see life differently in a good way.

The poems herein were created from my experiences in life, dreams, automatic writing, divine inspiration, and about and to several friends. For instance “Raw Gypsy Blues “came from when I lost three relatives and a fiancée’ over a period of four months and I couldn’t handle any more death and there were many more in a period of six years. I had relatives possessing animosity toward me because I could not attend all the funerals. Mourning really is a private thing; I handled in my own spiritual way. But on the other hand, many of them are about the love I have for certain ladies and friends, some I have never met, some I hope to meet. They all know which ones are theirs and theirs alone. For all the teachers I sought out and the ones who found me to help me keep what little sanity I have, and to teach me to see the Light that I so procrastinate in seeing. “Ode to Divine Inspiration” and “Tears of a Gypsy” is about my incarnation of this lifetime.” Tears of a Gypsy” is also the title of my autobiography I have yet to complete for publication. Yes, I do know that many are obscure in content but c’est la vie, and I hope that this does not distract the reader from enjoying or even criticizing of which I handle very well.
