After a frightful flight that involved an onslaught from a flock of Berguinon, Melphiera and Aristide finally arrive in Middlaeg, a fortress city that is the home to the Duke of Galbraith. Unfortunately, Melphiera is shocked by her bedraggled appearance and Aristide arranges for the Blanche Corps-a unit of lady knights-to assist her. Will Melphiera receive approval in this new land?

In her formal debut at Galbraith, Melphiera must give a dinner speech to everyone in Middlaeg Fortress, only to find that banquets in Galbraith are like nothing she imagined! What impression will the gourmet princess make on Aristide's men? Things get worse when the feast is interrupted by an intimidating figure who gives Melphiera a test: are there some monsters that even she can't eat…or drink? And when the table is cleared, Aristide and Melphiera must welcome a new guest to the castle…a pet monster!
