Discusses the loss of stores at Kings Ferry and informs Washington that he had sent over a lock and key to prevent further mishaps. Also mentions that he plans on removing Captain Lieutenant Ephraim Fenno from his post as he feels Fenno should have kept a more careful account of the stores at Kings Ferry.

Discusses ammunition that has been stolen out of the magazine at Verplanck's Point and asks for an investigation. Written and signed for Knox by Samuel Shaw, Knox's aide de camp. See GLC02437.01852 for Washington's request for an investigation.

Discusses an atrocious violation of the Laws of Nations by a Mr. Honniwell and urges a just punishment for the crime. See GLC02437.02125 for a related document.

Tells Knox to order that a stop should be put to the movement of the Troops & Stores which were destined for the Western Posts. Also asks him to forward letters he has enclosed. Washington's signature clipped.

Informs General Washington that he is sending the weekly returns with other information to him (not included). Knox's retained draft.
