After receiving an incredible intelligence report from the planet Nygel 2, in the Otarian star system, Admiral Fantong is ordered by the STARCORE High Council to redeploy the USS PERFORMANCE to investigate the report. Captain Powers receives his orders from the STARCORE High Council, via Admiral Fantong about the need for an observation post. General Gerhing puts a special clause in the message to the USS PERFORMANCE asking that CW01 Weatherspoon lead the ship’s auxiliary force. The general further requests that CW01 Weatherspoon head up the landing party. The Gardenians have put into motion the plan to capture STARCORE’s only functional cyborg outside of the laboratory. All that is left now is for the Gardenians to kill anyone involved with the plan so that nothing can connect them to the diabolical seizure. As the mission continues, both the landing party and the ship are plagued with internal and external problems. Many questions suddenly have to be answered such as: How many lives will this operation cost? What are the ramifications? What is the price to be paid by all parties involved? Find out in this book of the NCX archive file series.

Buffy Conquers the Academy represents the cusp of pioneering research into a television show that has inspired a wealth of academic study since its cancellation in 2003. As a reflection of the current obsession with all things vampiric, this text offers an alternative perspective on the vampire myth from the point of view of scholars in the field and thereby celebrates the continuing existence of Buffy Studies as an endlessly fruitful academic discipline that is truly global and interdisciplinary. The Associations of Popular Culture and American Culture (PCA/ACA) have a tradition of encouraging growth in intellectual inquiry, and the acceptance of Buffy Studies as a subgenre of the Vampire area in 2008 reflected the belief in this globally recognized, sustainable discipline. In this volume, Buffyologists delve into the intricate world of Sunnydale from multiple perspectives that cut across all academic disciplines, ranging from gender/sexuality to religion, making this collection an excellent reflection of the current body of work under the umbrella of Buffy Studies.

A cruel decision lies before Commander Daniel Ricdeau. No doubt it’s the hardest choice of his career, or rather his life. Ever since the mysterious cyborg known as Doctor Death became Ostark’s president, he remained out of reach. Most of his time he spent in secure military complexes. Even when a rare public appearance happened, intense security measures and disinformation campaigns meant the Nirnivian learned the fact too late to act. Now, however, a unique opportunity presents itself. A Nirnivian spy discovered the date of a public speech by the president. This makes assassinating him possible, though it would be a suicide mission. While ridding himself of his sworn enemy tempts Daniel, he remains reticent. An attempt on the cyborg’s life means war. The last one they waged against Ostark was a disaster for Nirnivia. They survived only through the cyborg’s apparent mercy. Nothing suggests they’d perform any better in a new conflict. And yet, can Daniel afford to wait any longer? Since Doctor Death took over Ostark, their military strength has grown exponentially. The more time passes, the greater the gap between the two countries becomes. Soon, the chances of a Nirnivian victory will go from improbable to impossible. But what if the mission fails? Then, they’d face a brutal war while the greatest tactical mind ever still led their opponent. Will Daniel go ahead with the assassination attempt? If so, will they succeed? Will the cyborg perish? In that case, what comes next? All the answers point to certain death. Book 4 of The Cyborg’s Crusade
