In this thesis the scattering of surface gravity waves by bed undulation is considered, using the mild-slope approximation for the most part. In particular, examples of near-resonance induced by the topography are identified - abstract.

Modelling large-scale wave fields and their interaction with coastal and offshore structures has become much more feasible over the last two decades with increases in computer speeds.
