This story takes place in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky. A man name George moved back to Kentucky after being gone for about twenty years. But when he came back he had three kids with him. And those kids didn’t know any thing about being in the mountains, because they had never been here before. As far as that goes they had never been to any mountains before. But they was about to find out what it was really like to be country kids for the first time in their lives. George came back and found them a house and it needed some work on it so he decided to fix it up, and the kids were going to help him. His oldest boy was Charlie and he was ten years old, and he had two girls Mary and Martha. Now Mary she wasn’t too bad for getting into things which she was only eight year old.
