May Be Falling in Love… Arabella Prescott has been the belle of more balls than she cares to remember. After three seasons and five rejected proposals, she’s done with the marriage mart. Bella’s hopes to live a comfortable life, alone, come crashing down when her parents demand she marry. But her salvation may come in the form of the man she hates the most. Bella has never forgiven Rhys for what he did to her, but desperate times call for fake engagements. Fred "Duke" Slater was the greatest African American football player of the first half of the 20th century. Born into poverty, he developed into a two-time All-American tackle at the University of Iowa from 1918 to 1921. When the College Football Hall of Fame opened decades later, Duke was the only African American elected in the inaugural class. He then became the first black lineman in National Football League history in 1922, embarking on a remarkable ten-year career in the NFL. Incredibly, Slater was the only African American in the entire NFL for most of the late 1920s, yet he was widely recognized as one of the League's best linemen. But his pioneering influence extended beyond the gridiron. After retirement, he broke ground in the legal field as just the second black judge in Chicago history. On the field or on the bench, the inspirational life of Judge Duke Slater is a true American success story.

*COMPLETED* Across the vast ocean sailed Cassandra Trenton, a free-spirited American beauty left suddenly orphaned and alone. Eager to claim her long-lost heritage, she was amazed at the formal elegance of Eastland, the sumptuous English estate of her distant cousin…the notorious Duke of Eastland. Sought after at plays, operas, and balls by London’s most fashionable ladies, Henry remained a mystery to Cassandra. Bewildered by his arrogant demeanor, yet drawn to his panther-like grace, she came to sense the searingly painful memories that smoldered in the depths of his jade-green eyes. Wed because of a scandal, they were enfolded in a fierce, consuming joy, free at last from the past’;s cruel grasp. Then, in a moment of blinding anguish, Cassandra discovered the shocking treachery that lay at the heart of their love...;a love she had dreamed would triumph...; Perhaps, love wasn't it all.
