Not My Son, Not on Mothers Day is a true-to-life story about a mother and son who were both going through a life-altering personal struggle. The mother was struggling with a call to preach, and the son was struggling with substance abuse, which started at a very young age.

Not Without My Son is the memoir of Iranian-born Dr. Mariam Naseem, a Jewish woman who must flee for her safety from the new theocracy of Iran. Together with her infant son and the husband who was chosen for her, she arrives in the United States to face unexpected challenges. The greatest obstacle of all, though, is the sudden change in her son, whose studies at a prestigious Ivy League school are cut short by illness. When it seems that no one can or will offer a helping hand, Naseem discovers that her own inner strength will help her get by.

Only about 1% of our children are able to tell that someone hurt them sexually. Parents are concerned of the sexual offenders register list, but many of these sexual predators are in our family. I want my story to change how we as parents handle the trauma of our children, who have been sexually abused. I want my story to help children break the silence that they are terrorized into keeping. I want them to be able to tell all. I want parents to let God heal them of the guilt and embarrassment of someone sexually abusing their child, while they are helping the Police and DA prosecute these offenders. Our children need our help to be able to tell about their trauma and who did it. In addition, the law enforcement needs our help. I have designed an Angel Doll that holds a heart in her hands. I want to join up with a group to distribute the Angel Doll and Aslan Lion to as many girls and boys who have been sexually abused as I can.

The Twenty-Four Histories (Chinese: 二十四史) are the Chinese official historical books covering a period from 3000 BC to the Ming dynasty in the 17th century. The Han dynasty official Sima Qian established many of the conventions of the genre. Starting with the Tang dynasty, each dynasty established an official office to write the history of its predecessor using official court records. As fixed and edited in the Qing dynasty, the whole set contains 3213 volumes and about 40 million words. It is considered one of the most important sources on Chinese history and culture. This collection considers how embodiment, mothering, and curriculum theory are related to practices in education that silence, conceal, and limit gendered, raced, and sexual maternal bodies. Advancing a new understanding of the maternal body, it argues for a 'bodied curriculum' – a practice that attends to the relational, social, and ethical implications of 'being-with' other bodies differently, and to the different knowledges such bodily encounters produce. Contributors argue that the prevailing silence about the maternal body in educational scholarship reinforces the binary split between domestic and public spaces, family life and work, one's own children and others' children, and women's roles as 'mothers' or 'others.' Providing an interdisciplinary perspective in which postmodern ideas about the body interact with those of learning and teaching, Mothering a Bodied Curriculum brings theory and practice together into an ever-evolving conversation.
