"The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), North Dakota Field Office proposes to prepare a Resource Management Plan (RMP) revision to the 1988 North Dakota RMP for land and mineral resources it administers within the State of North Dakota ... The North Dakota RMP would analyze approximately 60,000 acres of BLM managed public land and approximately 5.4 million acres of federal mineral estate. The BLM managed land in North Dakota is located primarily in Dunn and Bowman Counties, and constitutes approximately one-tenth of one percent of the total land within the state. The bulk of the federal mineral estate is federal coal. Additional acres are federal oil and gas only; the remaining acres are made up of all minerals, coal and oil and gas only, and other combinations"--Page 1
