Descendants of John Norris, born on July 8, 1793 in Frankfort, Sussex, New Jersey (Sussex County created from Morris County in 1753). He married Rachel Fisher in 1813. After her death he married Mrs. Esther Strang. He died Apr. 21, 1875 in Seneca Falls, New York. John and Rachel Norris had twelve children born to them. Includes genealogy of Job Norris, a native of New Jersey, who married Miss Lindsay, daughter of General Eleazer Lindsay. Includes descendants of Michael John Tout (1844-1925), born in Bridgewater, Sommerset, England, and Lydia Elizabeth Avis (1845-1923) who was born in Minehead, Sommerset, England. Both died in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan. Descendants live in Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee and elsewhere.
