J. emerson, a very prominent minister and educator of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association. Dr. Emerson was one of the best young ministers in the New Hope Association. He was an invalid for several years before his death, but he seemed not to be satisfied unless he was on duty and with the brethren, therefore, he met the most of these annual meetings up to the time of his being totally disabled. We feel for the widow and children, and. Stand ready at all times to render whatever aid we can along any line of duty. The Association then adjourned to meet at the hour of 2 o'clock P. M.
