Originally published to extraordinary acclaim, selected by the Book-of-the-Month Club, and the winner of the Christopher Medal, In Mysterious Ways is widely recognized as one of the best books about Catholicism today -- a modern-day Diary of a Country Priest. Paul Wilkes paints an intimate and affecting portrait of Father Joseph Greer, the pastor of St. Patrick's Church in Natick, Massachusetts, as he struggles with a terminal case of bone marrow cancer. Even as it depicts the pastor's harrowing fight to live, In Mysterious Ways is ultimately an uplifting story of transcendence. As we watch him overcome his own pain, it is impossible not to admire and learn from Father Greer, who is certainly no saint but rather, as Wilkes makes clear, an ordinary person like anyone else. In Mysterious Ways offers a powerful vision of fortitude, leadership, and the limitless capabilities of a strong human spirit.

Mysterious Ways is about some of my life experenices. It took years for me to realize that I was having premonitions. Even after I had lived though the Miracles that had saved my life and the life of a fifthteen year old girl. I experenices a one-on-one with a spritual being and an out of body experence. This showed me that there is more to life them this shall we call our bodys.I was blind to the fact that these premonitions and interventions, had kept me from harms way, in some cases they had kept me from death it self. After one of these incident happen I, say to myself this was just luck, and soon I forget about what had happened. However looking back other things unexplain things happen. In earlyer years I had lived thought a spritual interfention that I had block out. One day on my way to the store a man grabbed me, by the neck and almost abducted me, what stoped him was a spritual intervention. I was 11 years old. Then on Septerber 10,2001, I had a Prmonirion and because of IT I change my planes and leave New York City Sept 10,2001 only 13 hours before the devastation happend, I could no longer say to myself this was just luck I could no longer ignoed what I could not explaned. I realize that some things in life have no explantions some thing in life just are. The fact is that I have been bless beyond, words. Someone has been looking out for me, this I know, and for that reason I wanted to write this book, I had to tell my story. who knows this could be a message of hope for those who wonder about the existence of a higher power, or for those who fell along. Maybe for the unbelievers or for the ones with doubt. This is not about religion, this goes way beyond that. These were not dreams, these were actual facts. To this day I have more quetions then I do answer. what I did learn about all this is to listen to my inner self, the red flag, that little voise, what ever it called most of us have this within us I believe, some of us just dont listen.

The realities of pain and suffering can easily push you to the point of questioning whether or not God truly cares. Even though He promised to work all things together for good, sometimes it can seem as if that’s never going to happen. In God’s Mysterious Ways, Gary Inrig examines the Old Testament story of Joseph, one of the most insightful examples of divine care. Seeing the twists and turns of Joseph’s life intertwined with the sovereignty of God, you’ll understand how God worked not only through the faithfulness of Joseph, but also through the sinfulness of Joseph’s brothers. Speaking to those who see or experience suffering, this book offers a message of grace. It’s a gentle reminder that, no matter what your circumstances seem to tell you, God’s will prevails—His purposes can be trusted and His promises never fail.

A Methodist minister, the Reverend Thornton Dixon Adams’ career has spanned sixty-five years. Like his grandfather before him, he has served many ministries in North Carolina. Mysterious Ways, by author Timothy Roach, shares the story of this man born on the eve of the Great Depression. This memoir chronicles how Adams knew painful personal loss as a child, struggled with family hardship in the difficult times of the thirties, and how after a brief time in college at Duke, he enlisted in the Army to serve his country during World War II. Mysterious Ways tells how Adams’ experiences have inspired many as he has generously served those in his community with a spirit of dedication and ever-present good humor. From bee keeping to bread-making, from square dancing to dress designing, from military-service to the Ministry, his life has been a long journey of curiosity and caring. This rendering shares a candid, humorous, and occasionally heartbreaking story of personal trial and ultimate triumph during a century that provided challenges to him, his family, and to the nation he loves; and along the way, the wisdom of Dixon’s positive attitude, wholesome values and their relevance to today.
