I bought a money-pouch from an African. Very small donkeys do all the hauling of very big loads strapped on either side of them in huge baskets. Many Spanish women run about here, some quite pretty, but wearing neither shoes, stockings, nor hats. And in truth it may be added, that but for this, they would not at any time have come before the public. These extracts are the same, with very little exception, that appeared in The Friend in the First month of 1863.
