This book, first published in 1988, does not concern the theory of poetry so much as the poetry of theory: a poetry that theorizes, that has a "view" on things, that thinks. What or what things does poetry think about, and what do we mean by thinking? The author attempts to answer these questions by examining the work of three poets – Wallace Stevens, César Vallejo, and René Char – and reflects upon the poetry itself. This title will be of interest to students of literature and literary theory.

Dos muñecas, dos hermanas y una infancia compartida por necesidad y no por los lazos afectivos a que obliga la familia, son el pretexto para que Gabriela Fonseca nos introduzca a un mundo fantástico de amor en el mar y de tristeza y nostalgia en la tierra. Estas hermanas, dueñas de una recia personalidad, se ven completamente desbordadas cuando el amor llega a sus vidas dejando al desnudo sus almas.

Mayra is a different gothic girl who returns to her country trying to elude with it the ghost of her best friend who torments her. The point is that comes to a place that despite being a city, most of its inhabitants are dressed in denim clothing. The novel is inspired by the life of a real girl who belonged to such style and is narrated differently like some facts occurred, and others that probably would have passed, if there was existed will. I think the details that are told not differ much from the behavior of people or their imaginations. Although I know that this behavior of fantasy and poetry is not exclusive to them, I think most of them manifest more sensitivity to the things that surround them. I would like that to better understand the novel; reference is made to the details mentioned at the time they are indicated.
