What's so fascinating about a quote or a statement that you hear, that would motivate someone to want to write a book with the words one has collected? First, I would strongly argue that having a list of quotes or "Words to Ponder" has come in handy for me a few times. I remember being at a funeral and the minister closed the service with these words, "God gives us memories, so we can have roses in December". That quote really struck me and several years later, I used those words when I was asked to speak at my grandfather's funeral. Second of all, we should all spend a few minutes each day reflecting and challenging ourselves. Many of the quotes that I have come across have simply done that for me, they made me think, ponder and at times question the quote. I can only hope that each time that has occurred, that I have become a more thoughtful person. Finally, I hope this inspires you to read more and often. The majority of the quotes or statements that I have come across have come simply from books that I was reading at the time. By reading new material every day not only will your thoughts and dreams grow, but also your vocabulary and your passions.

Throughout history, going back as far as 3,000 years, great thinkers have shared their words of wisdom. Today, many more people are involved in producing quotes that inspire and repulse. It is a rarity because all of the quotations that are expressed within it have emerged from my very own heart and mind and from no other source. Well, at least none that either of us can see or touch. I will try to rationally attribute the source of all these quotations to be my curiosity about the universe and life itself. In stating of such a source, I do not claim tobe a master of such knowledge. When I wrote each quote I did so with an immense urge to help open the minds and hearts of people all over the world, not just philosophers and quote lovers alike. I feel that if we don't open our minds and listen to the voice of our intuition then weare going to lose ourselves as individuals and our own planet to self-destructive mechanisms that otherwise could have been prevented. The purpose of this book is to inspire you to act on what you truly believe can change your life towards a gradual and continual advancement. It also encourages the questioning of any information that is given to us through the interpretations of other imperfect humans. This is solely because the absolute truth of our very nature is well hidden within the mind and heart of our creator. By my definition real truth searching takes several lifetimes. So follow your passion for your life, ponder and live a more correct life. If we all did so our world would be greater.
