Mentoring.

Drawing on the writings of Augustine, John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila and others, Keith R. Anderson and Randy D. Reese show that the age-old practice of Christian mentoring is meant to facilitate our growth throughout life. They provide motivation, principles and plans for starting and continuing mentoring relationships.

The church needs believers who are willing to learn to spiritually mentor others, who are willing to act as spiritual elders, fathers and mothers in the faith. To mentor and nurture other believers to help them grow spiritually, be fully equipped to serve Christ, and do the works of Jesus wherever they live and work. Authentic Spiritual Mentoring gives step-by-step guidance on how a believer can move from being an observer of other believers to being an effective and significant spiritual influence for Christ in another believer's life. Women in all seasons of life can feel alone, longing for encouragement, guidance, and wisdom from someone who has been there before. They would value the wealth of knowledge and wisdom from older women's experiences, but often these women don't feel equipped to offer help.
