Megon is playing outside in the garden with her sister, Katie, and her teddy, Nogard, when she hears her new friends, a family of friendly dragons, calling to her. They live in the woods behind her house and have already taught her how to breathe fire from her mouth. After Megon meets the dragons on the edge of the woods, they show her what they eat for lunch—worms. Blech! But when the mummy dragon suddenly whooshes down to the ground from the sky, Megon decides that learning to fly is much more fun than eating worms. After she climbs on the mummy dragon’s back with her teddy in tow, Megon swoops high above the rooftops until something horrible happens that leads her to learn an important lesson about safety. Megon Goes Flying is the colorful tale of a little girl’s new adventure with a family of dragons as she learns how to make good choices that keep her safe while having fun.

In 'Megan Goes on Holiday', the family goes on holiday abroad, taking Megan for the first time. She becomes besotted with the place. On her return home, she makes a bit of a fool of herself by pretending to be what she is not and showing off. However, her mother and a few others bring her back to reality, and Wacinhinsha gives her an explanation for her recent infatuation with her holiday destination. Megan is a 13-year-old teenage girl, who realises that she has psychic powers that others do not have. At first, she tried to talk to her mother about them, but with disastrous consequences, so she learned to keep quiet about them. However, some people do offer to help and an animal showed a special friendship, but they were not 'alive' in the normal sense of the word. They had passed on. Megan has three such friends: Wacinhinsha, her Spirit Guide, who had been Sioux in his last life on Earth; her maternal grandfather, Gramps and a huge Siberian tiger called Grrr. Wacinhinsha is extremely knowledgeable in all things spiritual, psychic and paranormal; her grandfather is a novice 'dead person' and Grrr can only speak Tiger, as one might imagine and most of that, of course is unintelligible to humans. Megon loves dragons. She loves stories about dragons, pictures of dragons, and dressing up like a dragon thanks to a costume her mum made. One day, she and her family take a walk through the woods behind their home. Megon decides to run ahead of them through the woods but trips and falls down a steep slope. She lands in front of what looks like a cave. Megon is very curious when she hears the sound of giggles, so she quietly creeps into the cave to investigate. She discovers a family of dragons! In her dragon costume, the young dragons think Megon looks a little strange but welcome her anyway and try teaching her how to blow flames from her mouth. To blow fire, Megon has to think about something that makes her angry-really angry. When she thinks about this, she is so angry that she blows a little bit of fire out of her mouth! The Mummy dragon then reminds her that she has to learn how to stop the flame, and in order to do that she has to learn how to control her anger. Megon not only meets her favourite creatures but she also learns how to control her temper.

In Megan Goes Yachting, Megan and her family are invited to go sailing from Feyton Yacht Club by two of Rob's friends, Ray and Marlene. Robert and Suzanne have to decline the offer, but Jane goes with her friend instead. The caves, inlets and islands were was once the haunts of fearsome pirates, and Megan fancies that she catches glimpses of how they had used to live their lives as they sail along the coast on Ray’s yacht. The Psychic Megan Series consists of twenty-three novelettes about a young girl's growing realisation that she is able to do things that none of her family can. Megan is twelve years old in the first volume. She has two seemingly insurmountable problems. Her mother is frightened of her daughter's latent abilities and not only will not help her but actively discourages her; and she can’t find a teacher to help her develop her supernatural, psychic powers. For she wants not only to know what it is possible to do and how to do it, but to what end she should put her special abilities. Megan is a good girl, so it would seem obvious that she would tend towards using her powers for good, but it is not always easy to do the right thing even if you know what that is. These stories about Megan will appeal to anyone who has an interest in psychic powers, the supernatural and the paranormal and is between the ages of ten and a hundred years old. A stunning first novel about a young girl's coming-of-age in the 1950s. Tamara Anderson's father is a landscape artist who quickly tires of the scenery, so every year her family seeks out new locations for his inspiration. When the Andersons move to a farmhouse in Sherman, New York, in the spring of 1954, fifteen-year-old Tamara and her mother want to settle down and make it home. Sherman begins to work a strange magic on Tamara and her siblings: there's the proselytizing family in the tar-paper house across the street; the dairy cow that becomes a beloved pet; the dead boy who used to live in Tamara's bedroom; her friend Brenda, who teaches her to swear; and Brenda's big brother, Rusty, an irresistible freckle-faced redhead. While Tamara experiences her first real year of happiness, her mother is diagnosed with tuberculosis, forcing her into a sanatorium. Tamara struggles with her desire to stay in Sherman, her fear of losing her mother, and her anger at being left in charge of two younger siblings while her father escapes into the world of his art. Deeply moving, with a profound understanding of family dynamics and adolescent anguish, Some Things That Stay introduces an unforgettable narrative voice and marks the arrival of a distinctive, new American talent.

The timeless coming-of-age novel about five young women who meet at Radcliffe College and together grow to maturity—through intrigues, ambitions, affairs, and marriages—from World War II to the 1980s. Lavinia, Peg, and Cathy seem to have little in common save for their freshman status. None of them could know that their destinies are about to inextricably intertwine. Across four decades, as time and events upend their expectations, these five women discover their sexuality, reveal their secrets, and struggle with independence—sometimes surrendering, sometimes making stunning choices. Now reissued thirty-five years after its original release, Alice Adams’s Superior Women, hailed as “a remarkable compression of time, memory, and sentiment—rather as if Hemingway had been turned loose on Proust” (San Francisco Chronicle), is a richly drawn, uncompromising novel about women’s intimate, interior lives for fans of Mary McCarthy’s The Group and Rona Jaffe’s The Best of Everything.
