Megon loves dragons. She loves stories about dragons, pictures of dragons, and dressing up like a dragon thanks to a costume her mum made. One day, she and her family take a walk through the woods behind their home. Megon decides to run ahead of them through the woods but trips and falls down a steep slope. She lands in front of what looks like a cave. Megon is very curious when she hears the sound of giggles, so she quietly creeps into the cave to investigate. She discovers a family of dragons! In her dragon costume, the young dragons think Megon looks a little strange but welcome her anyway and try teaching her how to blow flames from her mouth. To blow fire, Megon has to think about something that makes her angry—really angry. When she thinks about this, she is so angry that she blows a little bit of fire out of her mouth! The Mummy dragon then reminds her that she has to learn how to stop the flame, and in order to do that she has to learn how to control her anger. Megon not only meets her favourite creatures but she also learns how to control her temper.

When her Southern belle mother secretly enters her as a debutante for the 2016 deb season in their hometown of Dallas, she’s furious—and has no idea what she’s in for. Megan’s attitude swiftly gets her on probation with the mother hen of the debs, and she’s given a month to prove she can ballroom dance, display impeccable manners, and curtsey like a proper Texas lady or she’ll get the boot and disgrace her family. The perk of being a debutante, of course, is going to parties, and it’s at one of these lavish affairs where Megan gets swept off her feet by the debonair and down-to-earth Hank Waterhouse. If only she didn’t have to contend with a backstabbing blonde and her handsome but surly billionaire boyfriend, Megan thinks, being a deb might not be so bad after all. The season has officially begun…but the drama is just getting started. Find out for yourself why this pitch-perfect blend of scandal, romance, and humor is being hailed as the best Austen adaptation since Clueless.

From the best-selling author and rewilding pioneer Isabella Tree, When We Went Wild is a heartwarming, sustainably printed picture book about the benefits of letting nature take the lead, inspired by real-life rewilding projects. Nancy and Jake are farmers. They raise their cows and pigs, and grow their crops. They use a lot of big machines to help them, and spray a lot of chemicals to get rid of the weeds and the pests. That's what all good farmers do, isn't it? And yet, there is no wildlife living on their farm. The animals look sad. Even the trees look sad! One day, Nancy has an idea... what if they stopped using all the machines, and all the chemicals, and instead they went wild? The author’s own experience of rewilding her estate at Knepp in West Sussex, England, has influenced conservation techniques around the world that are bringing nature back to the countryside and bringing threatened species back from the brink. Ivy Kids brings you beautiful, sustainably printed books to rewild your child. They are hopeful, joyful stories and nonfiction about nature and the environment that are charmingly illustrated and printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper, locally in the US, and using renewable energy. Praise for Wilding, the author’s best-selling memoir: “In a story that is part personal memoir, part work of conservation, Tree reveals the capacity of the wild to reclaim the land—as long as humans step out of the way.” —Smithsonian, “The Ten Best Science Books of 2018” “Wilding is both a timely and important book.” —Tim Flannery, The New York Review of Books
