Volume eight comprises topics like the United Nations system of the use of force; the U.S. bilateral non-surrender agreements in relation to the ICC; developing countries, non-traditional intellectual property rights and the WIPO; and fact-finding by UN human rights complaints bodies.

The Yearbook provides information on the composition, jurisdiction, procedure and organization of the Tribunal and about its judicial activities in 2021. The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is an autonomous judicial body established by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea to adjudicate disputes arising out of the interpretation and application of the Convention. The Yearbook - Annuaire will give lawyers and the general public access to information about the jurisdiction, procedure and organization of the Tribunal and also about its composition and activities in 2013.

The ITLOS Yearbook 2018 provides information on the composition, jurisdiction, procedure and organization of the Tribunal and reports on its judicial activities in 2018, in particular concerning Case No. 25. The Yearbook is prepared by the Registry of the Tribunal.
