When your plan of asking a cute Omega to be your pretend-husband for a weekend takes an unexpected turn… Clay I have my pride as an Alpha, and I don’t want to be the only unmated sibling at my youngest sister’s wedding. What’s a successful, but bachelor, Alpha to do? Well, maybe ask the cute Omega frequenting my cafe to be my fake husband for the weekend. Only, I didn’t expect a weekend of fun to change our lives forever… Aiden The day my sister leaves me her three-month-old to look after, to be the parent she can’t be, I get an odd request from a handsome Alpha. Who would be able to resist an invitation from the only man whose smile makes you forget all your problems? Not me. So, I show up, play the role of adoring husband, and that’s when things go totally off-script… This collection includes the first five novellas about Alpha Clay and Omega Aiden in the Making a Family serial, Faking a Husband, Becoming a Boyfriend, Raising an Omega, Saving a Sibling and Marrying a Mate, which take place in the non-shifter Omegaverse Mates World and contains mpreg (male-pregnancy). The Omegaverse Mates World consists of (in order of publication): Second Chance Mates, Making a Family, Omegas’ Destined Alpha and Blossoming of Fate.

Two young mates agree to stay away from each other, but when they break that promise, everything falls apart… Destin I wasn’t supposed to see Seb for four years. That was the only plan we could come up with to keep us both safe, so he can finish his degree and I can work my way up at my Omega father’s company. Two weeks in, I can’t stand our separation any longer and impulsively go visit him anyway. Not being able to see him was hard enough when we were best friends, but now that we know we’re mates, I really can’t stay away from him… I’ve tried, but I can’t do it. Seb I know that I should send him away, I really should. But when Destin suddenly appears at the apartment, looking as troubled as I feel, I don’t have the strength to do it. Seeing him makes me feel alive for the first time in weeks and I don’t want to let go of that sensation. Mia won’t let us stay in the apartment for the weekend, since she knows about Destin and me, and we’re not allowed to have mates sleep over. So we sneak away to a holiday park, hoping to spend a relaxing weekend together and come up with a better plan than trying to stay away from each other, which obviously isn’t working. Only, the weekend isn’t as relaxing as I’d hoped and things get much, much more complicated quickly… This is the second novella about Alpha Destin and Omega Seb in Blossoming of Fate, which takes place in the non-shifter Omegaverse Mates World and contains mpreg (male-pregnancy). This novella may include any of these elements: steamy scenes, ‘I need tissues NOW’ moments, cries of ‘why, oh, why’ and cliffhangers that make you bite your nails (and curse the author).

Engaging, practical, and infused with clinical wisdom, this widely used text and practitioner guide helps therapists working with families to hit the ground running. The revised and updated fourth edition brings fresh insights into the issues families bring to therapy and the therapist's moment-to-moment decision making. Rather than advocating one best approach, Robert Taibbi shows that there are multiple ways to guide parents, children, and adolescents and harness their strengths. The beginning, middle, and end stages of treatment are richly illustrated with chapter-length case examples. End-of-chapter learning exercises help readers build key skills and creatively develop their own clinical style. New to This Edition *All chapters revised, with new case studies throughout. *Sidebars on common challenges facing new clinicians: self-doubt, the emotional experience of working with distressed families, and more. *Increased attention to what the therapist can say and do to actively shape each session. *Heightened focus on process--helping families explore the "how" of problem solving as much as the "what." We live in a world that needs radical transformation if our children and grandchildren are to live healthy, peace-filled lives. But where to start? Activist Roberto Vargas says the answer lies surprisingly close: at home, with our family and friends. We can apply the practice of family activism to foster what he calls familia—warm, loving connections with our relatives and with those we choose to call family—and develop the skills and attitudes we need to tackle broader problems in our community, our nation, and the world. In Family Activism, Vargas draws from his own life to show how to apply tools such as copowering communication, family councils, and unity circles to create family and community cultures that empower all of us to become more committed and skillful agents of positive change.

The challenge faced by family businesses and their stakeholders, is to recognise the issues that they face, understand how to develop strategies to address them and more importantly, to create narratives, or family stories that explain the emotional dimension of the issues to the family. The most intractable family business issues are not the business problems the organisation faces, but the emotional issues that compound them. Applying psychodynamic concepts will help to explain behaviour and will enable the family to prepare for life cycle transitions and other issues that may arise. Here is a new understanding and a broader perspective on the human dynamics of family firms with two complementary frameworks, psychodynamic and family systematic, to help make sense of family-run organisations. Although this book includes a conceptual section, it is first and foremost a practical book about the real world issues faced by business families. The book begins by demonstrating that many years of achievement through generations can be destroyed by the next, if the family fails to address the psychological issues they face. By exploring cases from famous and less well known family businesses across the world, the authors discuss entrepreneurs, the entrepreneurial family and the lifecycles of the individual and the organisation. They go on to show how companies going through change and transition can avoid the pitfalls that endanger both family and company. The authors then apply tools that will help family businesses in transition and offer their analyses and conclusions. Readers should draw their own conclusions from careful examination of the cases, identifying the problems or dilemmas faced and the options for improved business performance and family relationships. They should ask what they might have done in the given situation and what new insight into individual or family behaviour each case offers. The goal is to avoid a bitter ending.
