“The Mosque case of 1972 is the most famous case amongst the rank and file of the NYPD and Circle of Six holds no punches.” —Joe “Donnie Brasco” Pistone, former FBI special agent Circle of Six is the true story of what is perhaps the most notorious case in the history of the New York Police Department. It details Randy Jurgensen’s determined effort to bring to justice the murderer of Patrolman Phillip Cardillo, who was shot and killed inside Harlem’s Mosque #7 in 1972, in the midst of an all-out assault on the NYPD from the Black Liberation Army. The New York of this era was a place not unlike the Wild West, in which cops and criminals shot it out on a daily basis. Despite the mayhem on the streets and the Machiavellian corridors of Mayor Lindsay’s City Hall, Detective Jurgensen single-handedly took on the Black Liberation Army, the Nation of Islam, NYPD brass, and City Hall, capturing Cardillo’s killer, Lewis 17X Dupree. He broke the case with an unlikely accomplice, Foster 2X Thomas, a member of the Nation of Islam who became Jurgensen’s witness. The relationship they formed during the time before trial gave each of the two men a greater perspective of the two sides in the street war and changed them forever. In the end, Jurgensen had to settle for a conviction on other charges, and Dupree served a number of years. The murder case is still officially unsolved. In 2006 the NYPD re-opened the case, and it is once again an active investigation with full media attention. The book has received acclaim from former New York City Police Commissioners Ray Kelly and William Bratton.

The Twin worlds of Earth and Annwyn are in crisis: the seasons are out of balance and the worlds are dying. Their only hope is Daimon, an Athenian boy, and a small bird named Emily. Dragged through a portal between the two worlds, Emily almost dies in the snow. Eostra, Mother Spring, saves Emily s life and transforms her into a snow rabbit. Now Emily s quest begins, and with Daimon as her protector, she must decipher the prophecy and gather The Circle of Six, beings of great power called on in times of darkness upon the land. An Air-Elf, a young scholar, a prince and a fire-tiger are the reluctant and final members of the Six, called upon to aid Daimon and Emily. They are now in a race against time to find the lost artefacts of Harmony and fight the forces of darkness under the sway of Gorgos, the Dark Elemental. Do they connect with their earth magic and find their own personal power? Do they come together as one, in time to heal the land and save their peoples? Circle of Six: Based on ancient Pagan myths, Emily s quest is a tale of self-belief and high adventure, grief, fear and friendship. At the center of the quest is Emily herself; doubtful, dogged and full of indomitable spirit as she attempts to triumph against the odds to complete the quest and become the symbol of Eostra. The Circle of Six is the first book in the series that retell one of the earliest pagan myths, that of the Earth rebirth, through the spring equinox ritual, which is now called by its Anglo-Saxon form, Eostra Day, or Easter. The Circle of Six is a dramatic Epic Fantasy that provides possible answers to the questions that have remained a mystery for over two thousand years: When was the very first Easter? Where did the Easter Rabbit come from, where does she live and how does she deliver Easter to our homes? Why are they called Easter Eggs when rabbits are mammals? And why do we celebrate this beautiful naturalist tradition we call Easter?

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents the electrifying conclusion to her powerful Circle Trilogy. Worlds have collided and centuries have elapsed as six people have brought their unique powers, their courage, and their hearts to a battle that could drown humanity in darkness… Her face, so pale when she’d removed her cloak, had bloomed when her hand had taken the sword. Her eyes, so heavy, so somber, had gone as brilliant as the blade. And had simply sliced through him, keen as a sword, when they’d met his… In the kingdom of Geall, the scholarly Moira has taken up the sword of her people. Now, as queen, she must prepare her subjects for the greatest battle they will ever fight—against an enemy more vicious than any they have seen. For Lilith, the most powerful vampire in the world, has followed the circle of six through time to Geall. Moira also has a personal score to settle. Vampires killed her mother—and now, she is ready to exact her revenge. But there is one vampire to whom she would trust her soul… Cian was changed by Lilith centuries ago. But now, he stands with the circle. Without hesitation, he will kill others of his kind—and has earned the respect of sorcerer, witch, warrior, and shape-shifter. But he wants more than respect from Moira—even though his desire for her makes him vulnerable. For how can a man with an eternity to live love a woman whose life is sure to end—if not by Lilith’s hand, then by the curse of time? “[Roberts] is one of the best writers in the romance world.”—The Best Reviews

In The Circle of Fire (formerly published as Prayers: A Communion With Our Creator) Ruiz inspires us to enter into a new and loving relationship with ourselves, with our fellow humans, and with all of creation. Through a selection of beautiful essays, prayers, and guided meditations, Ruiz prepares our minds for a new way of seeing life, and opens our hearts to find our way back to our birthright: heaven on earth. The result is a life lived in joy, harmony, and contentment. In my teachings, "The Circle of Fire" ceremony celebrates the most important day of our lives: the day when we merge with the fire of our spirit, and return to our own divinity. This is the day when we recover the awareness of what we really are, and make the choice to live in communion with that force of creation we call "Life" or "God." From that day forward, we live with unconditional love in our hearts for ourselves, for life, for everything in creation. This book, first published in 2001 as "Prayers: A Communion with Our Creator," will remind you of what you really are. It has always been my favorite book, and now in honor of my favorite prayer, it has been appropriately renamed "The Circle of Fire." -- don Miguel Ruiz

They found in each other something they could not put into words, something they fervently needed. It made no sense for a group of people who seemed incompatible to gather regularly in the corner of an old store to talk. Nobody knew how many there were in the beginning and only the members knew how many there were now. The only requirement for membership was to have suffered hurt or caused hurt to others.
