Book_ of life. Bishop Burgess gave the manuscript of his list of twenty-seven hundred and eighty-seven names to the House of Bishops in 1859. Five dioceses asked for the loan of it. Through the zealous efforts of an aged clergyman of Massachusetts, the late Rev. William S. Bartlet, m.a., who edited the work, and made an index to it, it was published by subscription in 1874.
