Desde una perspectiva marxista y feminista se abordan las luchas de las mujeres en sus momentos culminantes, empezando con el papel de la mujer en la revolucion inglesa de mediados del siglo xvii, cuando por primera vez florecieron ideas de liberacion de las mujeres y una nueva moralidad sexual, en la revolucion francesa del siglo xviii, en la comuna de paris del siglo xix, en la revolucion rusa de 1917. Se dedican cinco capitulos a los exitos y fracasos en la organizacion de las mujeres trabajadoras en el movimiento socialista, entre 1860 y 1920 en estados unidos, alemania, rusia, francia y el reino unido. Entre 1990 y 1960 la cuestion de la liberacion quedo oculta bajo el peso de la crisis economica. A finales de los 60 y principios de los 70 surgio un nuevo movimiento. Human rights violations linked to norms of health, fitness, and social usefulness have long been overlooked by Historic Justice Studies. Kathrin Braun introduces the concept of »injuries of normality« to capture the specifics of this type of human rights violation and the respective struggles for historic justice. She examines the processes of Vergangenheitsbewältigung in the context of coercive sterilization, institutional killings, as well as the persecution of homosexual men and of »asocials« under Nazi rule. She argues that an analytic perspective on political temporality allows us to better understand the formation of these biopolitical human rights violations and their exclusion from memory and historic justice.
