He writes to Mrs. Markham as he is not sure whether Mr. Markham is at home, but requests some copies of "The Man with the Hoe" and "Lincoln" for Rev. Harrold Mohr who gave him a motor tour of Mt. Union College. He also requests a copy of "Eighty Songs at Eighty" to be presented to Frederick Wilson, a retired minister. Check for $3.00 is enclosed.

Markham writes son Virgil that he has attended paying some bills and has been in contact with Miller the banker. Balance of letter deals with unpaid checks and business matters.

Mr. Records, who was disabled by a gasoline explosion in 1922, has questioned his existance because of his disability. He has been an admirer of Markham's The Man and a Hoe, and asks permission to use it on a greeting card that he has created.
