Letter thanks Mr. Markham for accepting the invitation to speak at the Mass Meeting to be held at Carnegie Hall on Friday, April 17, 1925 onbehalf of the Goldman Band Concerts. She writes that he is doing a service to benefit thousand sof people. Copy sent to Dr. Winifred "Mother" Sackville Stoner.

Letter of sympathy to Mrs. Markham whose brother has passed away. She writes about the birthday activities of Mr. Markham and hopes that he lives many more years. Osborne hears many nice things about the Markham's through her D.A.R. associates.

Reminder that Mr. Markham is to speak at Carnegie Hall on April 17. She asks that each speaker give a 5 minute talk "a la GOLDMAN'S BAND on the MALL." If Mr. Markham won't speak, perhaps Mrs. Markham can. She mentions that several years ago that Mr. Farquhar of the Midland Press spoke with Mr. Markham whether he would be interested participating as one of the editors of the HUMAN INTEREST LIBRARY, but never said yes or no to the request.

Kerie thanks Markham for the Lincoln poems which were sold at theAll Argan Exposition and Bazaar. The poems were a hit and all sold. She also thanks him for his letter whichw as framed and placed ona wall fro all to read. She mentions George Hamilton Fitch, who wrote a book and included a chapter on Markham. She met Fitch on a world trip and became friends. She thanks Markham again for the help he provided.

They would like Mr. Markham to write an article for their June issue. They have had several authors write articles. Such as, Miss Repplier, Mr. Higginson, and Mr. Arthur Henry Lewis. They wanted him to write an article on poetry. They also include a copy of their magazine and their pay scale.

Evans of the Wells Fargo & Company Express encloses a letter from Mary Obolensky, daughter of Count Tolstoi, acknowleding receipt to Mr. Valentine of Markham's book. After perusal, Mr. V asks that Markham forward the letter in an enclosed envelope to Aaron Stein of San Francisco.
