This study attempts to address some of the major issues in our understanding of late Quaternary climate and the surficial geologic processes that are influenced by climate change. Based on several lines of research, four discrete but related chapters herein address problems related to the Quaternary geology of the study area, the coast and inner margin of the northeastern Gulf of Mexico.
