Este libro es resultado de una investigación doctoral, durante el proceso de la misma se hallaron diversos resultados que no se alineaban con el sentido común o esperado de otros investigadores, particularmente en temas de bonos, expectativas laborales, presiones, creencias empresariales, cultura de trabajo y equipo. Un suceso relevante de la investigación, fue que se desarrollo durante la crisis financiera mundial, y la banca mexicana mantuvo a flote a nivel mundial a los bancos extranjeros con presencia en el país.
