Lucy Maud Montgomery was a Canadian author and is best known for her novels, the first of which was Anne of Green Gables, published in 1908. She also published over 500 short stories, and 142 of these are available in chronological order in a six volume set, this being the 4th volume - a selection of the stories from 1905 to 1906. Many people have read and been inspired by the Anne of Green Gables novels. However, few may know very much about the extraordinary intuition, brilliance, creativity, and productivity of the Anne-author, Lucy Maud Montgomery (1874-1942).
