"Lin-Greenberg’s web of characters illustrate the complex lives of ordinary people." —Time As a once-bustling mall prepares to shut its doors for the final time, the residents of an upstate New York town must reckon with a shocking act that forces them to reevaluate who they are in this "remarkable study of ordinary people's extraordinary inner lives" (Publishers Weekly, starred review) The inhabitants of a small town have long found that their lives intersect at one focal point: the local shopping mall. But business is down, stores are closing, and as the institution breathes its last gasp, the people inside it dream of something different, something more. In its pages, You Are Here brings this diverse group of characters vividly to life—flawed, real, lovable strangers who are wonderful company and prove unforgettable even after the last store has closed. The only hair stylist at Sunshine Clips secretly watches YouTube primers on how to draw and paint, just as her awkward young son covertly studies new illusions for his magic act. His friend and magician’s assistant, a high school cashier in the food court, has attracted the unwanted attention of a strange boy at school. She tells no one except the mall’s chain bookstore manager, a failed academic living in the tiny house he built in his mother-in-law's backyard. His family is watched over by the judgmental old woman next door, whose weekly trips to Sunshine Clips hide a complicated and emotional history and will spark the moment when everything changes for them all. Exploring how the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves are inextricably bound to the places we call home, You Are Here is a keenly perceptive and deeply humane portrait of a community in transition, ultimately illuminating the magical connections that can bloom from the ordinary wonder of our everyday lives.

Kevin Quinn is a standard-variety American male: middle-aged, liberal-leaning, self-centered, emotionally damaged, generally determined to avoid both pain and responsibility. As his relationship with his girlfriend approaches a turning point, and his career seems increasingly pointless, he decides to secretly fly to a job interview in Austin, Texas. Aboard the plane, Kevin is simultaneously attracted to the young woman in the seat next to him and panicked by a new wave of terrorism in Europe and the UK. He lands safely with neuroses intact and full of hope that the job, the expansive city, and the girl from the plane might yet be his chance for reinvention. His next eight hours make up this novel, a tour-de-force of mordant humor, brilliant observation, and page-turning storytelling.

The Ten Commandments: Case Studies in Catholic Morality is a single source that summarizes Catholic teaching around the Ten Commandments. Thirty case studies related to real-life issues and dilemmas addressed by each commandment make up the heart of this text and remind students of the central importance of the Ten Commandments as a source for moral decision-making along with contemporary ways the Commandments can be applied in their own lives. The text addresses both every day issues of morality faced by teens, such as cheating on exams, using alcohol and drugs, sex before marriage—along with wider and new societal issues including the use of embryonic stem cells for medical research, responsibility for environmental problems, and the proper use of money. The Ten Commandments: Case Studies in Catholic Morality is intended as an ancillary resource for students to accompany their study of Catholic morality. The text is a helpful partner to any theology class to help students review current applications of the Ten Commandments. The book is also applicable as a resource for teens participating in a high school youth ministry program.

Set in the early 2000’s, this lighthearted comedy represents the time when the radio played pop music and grunge music faded away. This reminiscent story will take you back to a time before indoor malls became obsolete and record stores barely existed. In this novel, Kevin moves to Pennsylvania, and joins the army after the Marines. Shortly after joining the army, Kevin’s army unit sets for deployment training in Washington and for eventual deployment abroad. After training and before traveling overseas, Kevin’s army unit grants leave. Kevin reunites with his old female Marine buddy, Toni for Washington State sightseeing. During Kevin’s vacation time, the two remanences on old times, and like old times, conduct in rowdy behavior which could jeopardize their liberty with the police. The two lead on into sitcom-worthy situations, too strange to be true, and encounter unusual people. Their endeavors cover anything from, “tall tales from the sea” to street fighting. As former Marines, some may find the characters’ mannerisms jaded, but they will do almost anything for amusement.
