They are apparently unsure whether Knox will be able to pay his bonds off on time. Anthony relates that Knox's creditors visited him to say they will expect Knox's payment when due. Discusses how best to handle this situation.

Writes that since his last letter to Anthony, he has heard from Mr. [William] Bingham regarding the arrangement of Knox's funds. Assures him that Bingham has a plan which would release him from any financial liability when payment is due on Knox's bonds (see GLC02437.06681 for a related document).

Relates that Mr. [William] Bingham made financial arrangements for Anthony with Mr. [likely Thomas] Willing. Explains the details of the plan and is happy with this new arrangement.

Received Knox's letter, including the [dollar sign] 8000 he enclosed. Has settled many of his accounts using the money. Provides details about his financial transactions, and asks for Knox's help with a negotiation involving Mr. [William] Bingham.

Writes that he received Knox's previous letters. Believes Knox is sincere in his desire to help him, but wishes he could say the same for Mr. Bingham, who continues to refuse to help him. Describes the course of action he plans to take to solve his financial crisis, since Bingham will not help him.
