We present the recent JLab measurements on moments of spin structure functions at intermediate and low Q2. The Bjorken sum and Burkhardt-Cottingham sum on the neutron are presented. The later appears to hold. Higher moments (generalized spin polarizabilities and d2(superscript n)) are shown and compared to chiral perturbation theory and lattice QCD respectively.

Spin structure functions of the nucleon in the region of large x and small to moderate Q2 continue to be of high current interest. A large experimental program to measure the spin structure function g1 and its first moment Gamma1 has been concluded at Jefferson Lab. An overview of the experiment and its kinematic coverage will be discussed. We will also show preliminary results from the 5.7 GeV and the 1.6 GeV data sets.

Spin structure functions of the nucleon in the regionof large x and small to moderate Q^2 continue to be of high current interest. Among the topics one can study in this kinematic regime are the Q^2 evolution of the first moment of g1 and the behavior of the virtual photon asymmetry A1 at large x. A large experimental program to measure these observables for the proton and deuteron has been concluded at Jefferson Lab Hall B. We will present the results of the 1.6 and 5.7 GeV data.

DIS 2005 is the 13th in a series of annual workshops on Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS) and Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD). The aim of these workshops is to review the progress in the field of DIS and QCD and to discuss and lay the groundwork for the future. DIS 2005 brought together 280 experimentalists and theorists to discuss the latest theoretical developments and new experimental results from HERA, TeVatron, SLAC, CERN, RHIC and Jefferson Lab.

This volume contains the invited talks and contributed papers presented at the workshop on ?Testing QCD Through Spin Observables in Nuclear Targets?, held at the University of Virginia in April 2002.The workshop was proposed in the context of the large number of experiments that have used polarized deuterons or polarized 3He to extract information about the spin parameters of the neutron. The motivation for this workshop was to study the effects of the nuclear medium on the spin properties of the bound nucleon and to explore issues in QCD that might be resolved through spin observables in nuclear targets: What is the effect of the nuclear medium on the measured asymmetries? How have the latest results on the spin structure of the nucleon and the nucleon form factors changed our thinking? What advances are anticipated in the development of polarized targets?

The QNP series of international conferences on Quarks and Nuclear Physics is by now a well established and highly respected forum where the most recent developments in the field are discussed and communicated. QNP 2006 is the forth edition of this biennial meeting. Selected and refereed original contributions of QNP 2006 have been published in The European Physical Journal A - Hadrons and Nuclei (EPJ A), while the present proceedings book, in addition to reprinting the articles published in EPJ A, further includes all other contributions selected and accepted by the organizing committee for publication and archiving.
