He married Mary Veatch in 1749 (pro- bably in old Frederick County, Maryland), and moved to Washington County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, California and elsewhere.
