"Jack Hinton: The Guardsman" by Charles James Lever Charles James Lever was an Irish novelist. A lover of his culture, he aimed to tell stories about Irish men and women. Jack Hinton is such a tale but with a twist. This story follows a young English man who finds himself in Ireland. Though they country may be a neighbor, the way of life is entirely different, and this tale helps showcase the unique charm that is the Irish society.
