In this time of global unrest and wars, the future appears increasing uncertain - with people projecting their fears onto others under the pretext of defending their religion or their religious way of life. Some even make hate speeches against the beliefs others hold dear. Developing nations are suffering (poverty, corruption, human right abuses, wars/conflicts among others). However, within their grasp, there is a way out if they can collectively will it. With so many happenings that are difficult to understand or explain, I hope this book will be a starting point for all positive minded people i.e. those who have tried, and those still trying to create a more peaceful world people who are just and unbiased in their desire for true freedom and equality for all humanity.

A Gospel-Rich, Reproducible Model for Making Disciples as Jesus Intended Biblical discipleship emphasizes encouragement, repentance, and spiritual growth—essential parts of the Christian life. However, well-meaning believers often struggle to follow Jesus, unaware their views are too legalistic, licentious, or individualistic. How can churches and Christians develop a healthy, successful path to disciple-making? In this second edition of Gospel-Centered Discipleship, Jonathan Dodson presents an effective, Spirit-led model for sanctification. Reminding readers that real discipleship is imperfect yet transformational, Dodson encourages Christians to engage more authentically with others as they grow in faith. Drawing from his own failures and successes while following Jesus, Dodson defines discipleship, describes the heart of a disciple, and gives practical guidance for mentor and peer-based discipleship as Jesus intended. Revised and Expanded: Includes three new chapters and new illustrations Applicable: Shows how discipleship can be practical and gospel-centered Theological: Addresses the Holy Spirit's involvement in discipleship Foreword by Matt Chandler: Author of The Explicit Gospel

Jesus Wept, Barbara C. Crafton's best-selling and brilliant reflection on faith and depression, is now released in its tenth-anniversary edition, complete with a new foreword by the author, who reflects on the choice she made ten years ago to break the silence and speak openly about her own experience with depression. "I was determined to speak freely about it" she writes. "Many, probably most, of my clergy confreres were - and remain - unwilling to invite such a stigma to take up permanent residence in their resumes. But there are some who know the isolation and despair into which depression can drag a person, and they might benefit from knowing that someone whose whole life has been given to God also knows these things. If that is the case, it's well worth the stigma." Like all human experience, no two courses of depression and healing are the same. Religious belief can make depression easier, but it can also make it harder. It calls our beliefs about ourselves and about God's presence in our lives into painful question. Barbara Crafton's beautiful and candid book addresses these questions head on, reminding her readers that God does not ordain our suffering but instead meets us in our darkest days to compassionately call us toward the light.

For many people, remaining optimistic and feeling positive about themselves and their lives is a constant battle—especially when circumstances are difficult and life is hard. For others, negativity is something that only sneaks up from time to time, yet still wreaks havoc in their hearts. Regardless of the root causes, once pessimistic thoughts permeate our minds, our feelings and emotions begin to control us instead of us controlling them. Eventually it doesn’t seem possible to stay positive, happy, and full of joy, and negative thought patterns shake our faith, causing us to sink emotionally, mentally, and spiritually over time. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Despite what storms roll in, hearts anchored in God don’t sink. When we change the way we think, we can change the way we feel and live, even if our circumstances remain the same. Intentionally embracing the opportunity to experience a transformed heart and a renewed mind opens the door for a changed life, because a positive mind will always lead to a more positive life. In Unsinkable Faith, author and Proverbs 31 Ministries speaker Tracie Miles offers hope for women who struggle with negativity. Each chapter explores Tracie’s and other women’s personal stories, showing how they rose above their circumstances by transforming and renewing their minds. Unsinkable Faith is a breath of fresh air for anyone longing for a heart full of joy, an unbreakable smile, and a new, more optimistic perspective on life. This book will equip you to: Replace pessimism with positive thinking by becoming the captain of your thoughts; Learn how true joy and happiness are based on choice, not circumstances; Overcome unhealthy habits of negative thinking by intentionally implementing three easy mind-renewing steps; Stop feeling hopeless and pitiful, and start feeling hope-filled and powerful instead; and Discover that when you change the way you think, you change the way feel, and in turn you can change your life completely.

Two words. John 11:35. It is the shortest verse in the entire Bible and it reads, "Jesus wept." Have you ever considered the monumental truth behind that verse? Jesus, fully man and fully God, found himself in the midst of human tragedy -- the death of a dear friend -- the death of a dear friend -- and he did what we would do. He cried. In this utterly profound book, Bruce Marchiano explores the head and heart of Jesus to answer questions hurting people have been asking for generations. Where was Jesus when I buried my husband? What was Jesus' reaction when my son was paralyzed? Or when my baby died? Or when the bus overturned? Or the tornado hit? When the terrorists struck on September 11, how did Jesus respond? The answer just might blow you away. Jesus wept.

This book is the story of a people whose time has come. Their time has come to finish the work that God had originally set them aside to do. Who are these people? These people are Black America - the descendants of the Slaves who were brought to America on ships. These Slaves were the descendants of the original Hebrews of the Bible. See how they ended up on the Slave Coast of Africa.God made a covenant with the Hebrews in which they were supposed to tell the world about Him, and He promised to always meet their needs and protect them. They broke that covenant because they wanted to be like the rest of the world, which worshipped idols. They only wanted God when they were in trouble. They knew God, but did not want Him around.God told Moses, their leader, to tell the Hebrews the following: "I will raise up for them a Prophet (Jesus Christ) like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them all that I command Him. And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him (Deuteronomy 18:18-19 New King James Version).Yet when Jesus came, they did not know Him: "But as He came closer to Jerusalem and saw the city ahead, HE BEGAN TO WEEP. 42 'How I wish today that you of all people would understand the way to peace. But now it is too late, and peace is hidden from your eyes' " (Luke 19:41-42 New Living Translation).Because of disobedience to God, they brought many calamities on themselves and their descendants. God sent His son Jesus Christ specifically to redeem the Hebrews first. However, they rejected the Savior. "He came to His own and His own received Him not" (John 1:11 New King James Version). Therefore, God diminished His chosen people and covered their eyes, gave them a spiritual blindness for a while. Then, God sent Jesus to the Gentiles (people who were not Hebrews). He said He would raise the Hebrews up again when the full number of Gentiles had been saved. (Romans 11:7-12, 25). I was inspired to write the story of my Black people, because our history before Slavery in America has been told by others in such a way as to hide the truth of who we are.Now the age of the Gentiles is just about over, and God is beginning to raise the original Hebrews up to finish the work He started in them. We are the ones the world has been waiting for. We are the ones to usher in Jesus Christ. See what God is saying to our people now! This book will take you back through our history and give evidence to show that we, Black America, are the original Hebrews of the Bible. The scriptures that you read and other references will bear this out.
