It is believed that when Tansen sang the ‘Deepak raga’; his entire body started to burn; and an individual was required who could sing the Malhar raga. The emperor sent his troops to Vadnagar; but the two sisters communicated back that they did not sing in anybody’s court. This is the attitude that my village possess. I have inherited this attitude.
