For the purpose of this book, this journey- we will define self-exam as an examination of your heart, your soul, strength and mind for evidence of displacement from the will of God. Our physical self-exams led to the discovery of breast cancer. Our journeys with breast cancer led us to conduct a deeper self-exam. It was through our breast cancer diagnoses that we discovered and truly began to walk in our purpose and divine design. It's often the areas in our lives where we have been the most affected that we tend to be the most effective. It is our hope that this book will encourage and inspire others to conduct a thorough self-exam that will propel them into their purpose and walk healed and whole into their futures.
