La thermique du batiment prend une place de plus en plus importante dans le processus general de conception des batiments afin de satisfaire l'objectif d'une approche energetique optimale. La conception des batiments est le resultat d'actions pluridisciplinaires (architecture, structure, economie, acoustique, thermique, ...), ce qui implique une prise en compte efficace de tous les points de vue. Cette etude, qui porte sur la composante energetique du systeme, a pour but la mise a disposition des concepteurs d'outils qui leurs permettent de concevoir les systemes de conditionnement climatique et l'enveloppe des batiments sur le plan thermique. Le resultat se traduit par un module specialise integre au systeme conceptor, prototype de systeme de c.a.o. Multitechnique. Il permet au concepteur de batiment l'elaboration du projet, depuis l'esquisse architecturale jusqu'a l'avant-projet detaille. Nous avons defini trois niveaux de conception pour la composante energetique: choix des partis techniques, conception primaire et conception detaillee des equipements et evaluation des performances. Ces niveaux caracterisent l'aspect evolutif de l'elaboration du projet tout en restant compatibles avec ceux des autres disciplines. Afin d'evaluer les objectifs thermiques assignes a chaque niveau de conception, nous avons elabore un schema conceptuel thermique base sur la representation orientee objet et une panoplie d'outils integres qui sont des evaluateurs que nous avons developpes en lisp. Ces outils sont caracterises par une modelisation adaptee aux besoins du concepteur compte tenu du niveau de l'etude et des donnees disponibles. Outre la mise en uvre d'outils classiques de l'ingenierie thermique, nous avons aussi construit des modeles thermiques simplifies utilisables dans les premiers stades de la conception pour l'etude du comportement thermique dynamique des batiments. Le schema conceptuel reprend les donnees declaratives communes avec un point de vue thermique, ce qui presente l'interet de substituer aux modeles thermiques traditionnels des grains de connaissances affectes aux objets thermiques

Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of his death (August 27, 2015), one of Le Corbusier's most significant books becomes available again in English. We are doing a reprint of MIT Press's first edition of 1991, which again is based on the original French version of 1930, with an introduction added by the author in 1960. While the MIT Press version had black-and-white illustrations throughout, Park Books' new edition features some of Le Corbusier's drawings in color as they were in the earlier French editions. A new essay by British scholar Tim Benton, written for this new edition, contextualizes the book within Le Corbusier's oeuvre and comments on its lasting significance. An also new appendix explains specialist terms and provides background information on persons and historic events no longer necessarily known to a younger generation of architects. The Precisions, as the book is known commonly, emerged from a spontaneous and exuberant series of 10 lectures Le Corbusier gave in Buenos Aires during the fall of 1929. As he spoke, Le Corbusier improvised drawings on large sheets of paper with crayons. While similar drawings appear in other works, here all the lectures and images appear in their original context as Le Corbusier assembled them more than 80 years ago. The texts reflect a new maturity in Le Corbusier's thinking and an extreme confidence in the development of his ideas. The drawings and lectures are unique in their eloquent and concise summary of his philosophy of architecture and urban design, stating the principles that informed his work from the 1920s on. They contain some of his most compelling aphorisms, both verbal and visual, covering technique as the basis of architecture, the human scale in design, furniture, the private house, apartments and office buildings, the city, the League of Nations competition, teaching architecture, and a splendid analysis of the transformation of his own work in houses from La Roche-Jeanneret to the Villa Savoye. This book represents a first considered attempt to study the factors that conditioned industrial chemistry for war in 1914-18. Taking a comparative perspective, it reflects on the experience of France, Germany, Austria, Russia, Britain, Italy and Russia, and points to significant similarities and differences. The purpose of the publication is to capture the state of knowledge, at the time of that meeting, related to phenomenology and technologies as well as the challenges and pending issues relevant to IVMR and EVCC for water cooled reactors by summarizing the information provided by the meeting participants in a form useful to practitioners in Member States.
