This book presents generalized Caputo fractional Ostrowski and Grüss-type inequalities involving several Banach algebra valued functions. Furthermore, the author gives generalized Canavati fractional Ostrowski, Opial, Grüss, and Hilbert-Pachpatte-type inequalities for multiple Banach algebra valued functions. By applying the p-Schatten norms over the von Neumann–Schatten classes, the author produces the analogous refined and interesting inequalities. The author provides many applications. This book’s results are expected to find applications in many areas of pure and applied mathematics, especially in fractional inequalities and fractional differential equations. Other interesting applications are in applied sciences like geophysics, physics, chemistry, economics, and engineering. This volume is dedicated to the late Professor Dragoslav S. Mitrinovic(1908-1995), one of the most accomplished masters in the domain of inequalities. Inequalities are to be found everywhere and play an important and significant role in almost all subjects of mathematics as well as in other areas of sciences. Professor Mitrinovic used to say: `There are no equalities, even in human life inequalities are always encountered.' This volume provides an extensive survey of the most current topics in almost all subjects in the field of inequalities, written by 85 outstanding scientists from twenty countries. Some of the papers were presented at the International Memorial Conference dedicated to Professor D.S. Mitrinovic, which was held at the University of Nis, June 20-22, 1996. Inequalities continue to play an essential role in mathematics. The subject is per haps the last field that is comprehended and used by mathematicians working in all the areas of the discipline of mathematics. Since the seminal work Inequalities (1934) of Hardy, Littlewood and P6lya mathematicians have laboured to extend and sharpen the earlier classical inequalities. New inequalities are discovered ev ery year, some for their intrinsic interest whilst others flow from results obtained in various branches of mathematics. So extensive are these developments that a new mathematical periodical devoted exclusively to inequalities will soon appear; this is the Journal of Inequalities and Applications, to be edited by R. P. Agar wal. Nowadays it is difficult to follow all these developments and because of lack of communication between different groups of specialists many results are often rediscovered several times. Surveys of the present state of the art are therefore in dispensable not only to mathematicians but to the scientific community at large. The study of inequalities reflects the many and various aspects of mathemat ics. There is on the one hand the systematic search for the basic principles and the study of inequalities for their own sake. On the other hand the subject is a source of ingenious ideas and methods that give rise to seemingly elementary but nevertheless serious and challenging problems. There are many applications in a wide variety of fields from mathematical physics to biology and economics.

The axioms of a complex Banach algebra were very happily chosen. They are simple enough to allow wide ranging fields of application, notably in harmonic analysis, operator theory and function algebras. At the same time they are tight enough to allow the development of a rich collection of results, mainly through the interplay of the elementary parts of the theories of analytic functions, rings, and Banach spaces. Many of the theorems are things of great beauty, simple in statement, surprising in content, and elegant in proof. We believe that some of them deserve to be known by every mathematician. The aim of this book is to give an account of the principal methods and results in the theory of Banach algebras, both commutative and non commutative. It has been necessary to apply certain exclusion principles in order to keep our task within bounds. Certain classes of concrete Banach algebras have a very rich literature, namely C*-algebras, function algebras, and group algebras. We have regarded these highly developed theories as falling outside our scope. We have not entirely avoided them, but have been concerned with their place in the general theory, and have stopped short of developing their special properties. For reasons of space and time we have omitted certain other topics which would quite naturally have been included, in particular the theories of multipliers and of extensions of Banach algebras, and the implications for Banach algebras of some of the standard algebraic conditions on rings.

This volume contains selected papers presented at the Summer School and International Conference on Combinatorics. The topics include Combinatorial Algorithms, Combinatorial Geometry, Combinatorial Optimization, Combinatorial Matrix Theory, Hypergraph and others.

The volume will consist of about 40 articles written by some very influential mathematicians of our time and will expose the latest achievements in the broad area of nonlinear analysis and its various interdisciplinary applications.
