Nathaniel Erwin (ca.1711-1794) and five of his sons served in the Revolutionary War, and later moved from Bucks County, Pennsylvania to York County, South Carolina. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas and elsewhere. Includes some ancestral lines (including nobility) to 1066 A.D. in England. Descendants and relatives also include family members of U.S. President Benjamin F. Harrison, Francis Shuck, Governor of Pennsylvania, and other Pennsylvania state government officials.
