Technology information offers challenges as well as opportunity. Therefore, Faculty of Ushuluddin, UIN (the State Islamic University) Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, and UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang held jointly the 2nd International Conference on Qur’an and Hadith Studies (ICONQUHAS 2018) and the 1st International Conference on Islam, Science, and Technology (ICONIST2018), with the theme “Qur’an-Hadith, Information Technology, and Media: Challenges and Opportunities”. This conference aims at bringing together scholars and researchers to share their knowledge and their research findings. This publication resulted from the selected papers of these conferences

The event to provide a scientific forum that will appeal to them -individual scholars, practitioners, policy makers, especially post graduate students to present their experiences, research findings, sharing ideas and experiences. For the nature of the object being discussed is interdisciplinary, the Post-Graduate School (SPS) of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta is called to organize International Colloquium on Interdisciplinary Studies 2019 (ICIIS 2019) with the theme “Moslem Societies and Social Transformation”. In 2019, this event has been held in 7-9 November 2019 in the Post-Graduate School of Syarif Hidayattullah State Islamic University Jakarta. It is the conjunction with the 3rd International Conference on Quran and Hadith Studies (ICONQUHAS2019). The event is jointly organized and hosted by Postgraduate School, Faculty of Theology (Ushuluddin) of Syarif Hidayattullah State Islamic University Jakarta, Paramadina University, and Islamic University of Jakarta. The conference papers from any kind of stakeholders and interdisciplinary studies related with Religion, and Social Related Studies. Each contributed paper was refereed before being accepted for publication. The double-blind peer reviewed was used in the paper selection.

After a year of a global Covid-19 pandemic, still, we have more questions than answers to the future of education and our social life. It is more important than ever to follow the developments closely in the coming period, pay attention to critical concerns such as inequality, as well as positive signs of transformation and innovation in all aspects of the world of teaching and learning. Expectations on what the future brings will have to be based on solid research rather than short-term perceptions. The proceedings of IJCAH 2021 are an interdisciplinary platform for teachers, researchers, practitioners, and academicians to discuss the latest research findings, concerns, and practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of Arts and Humanities. The subject areas within the proceeding are education, language learning, arts, culture, social sciences.

Arabic Stories for Language Learners--a language learning experience for beginner to intermediate students of the Arabic language. The traditional stories of a country are invaluable at providing insight into understanding the culture, history and language of a people. A great way to learn Arabic, the sixty-six stories found in Arabic Stories for Language Learners present the vocabulary and grammar used every day in Arabic-speaking countries Pulled from a wide variety of sources that have been edited and simplified for learning purposes, these stories are presented in parallel Arabic and English, facilitating language learning in the classroom and via self-study. Each story is followed by a series of questions in Arabic and English to test comprehension and encourage discussion. Online companion audio helps students of Arabic improve their pronunciation and inflection, and immerses non-students into the uniquely Arabic storytelling style. This book began as one of the publication outlets for two flagship conferences in 2019: 12th Conaplin (Conference on Applied Linguistics) and 3rd Icollite (International Conference on Language, Literature, Culture, and Education) which bring forth broad topics in the fields of education, applied linguistics, and literature organized by the Indonesia University of Education (UPI â Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia). Conaplin is one of the first annual conferences held by UPI, organized by the Language Centre in collaboration with the English Language Department. Icollite, on the other hand, emerged from the local scientific forum into an international conference to showcase the latest insights offered by new doctoral graduates in the Faculty of Language and Literature Education. For the themes of 2019 put forth by the two conferences, 12th Conaplin's "Applied Linguistics and Industrial Revolution 4.0: Reviewing Policy, Expanding Research, Enriching Practices" and 3rd Icollite's "Bridging Literacies, Culture, and Society towards Education 4.0", we highlight the importance of current buzz words in the language and education fields. We have observed that the proliferation of the use of these terms signals how communities in general, especially those in higher education, are grappling with responding to rapid changes in the IR 4.0. In the era we live in, humanity is being reshaped at an unprecedented speed and scale, mainly due to the advancement of technology. In order to maintain balance in our educational system so that social and cultural aspects can work harmoniously with the advancement of technology that can sometimes be isolating and impersonal, we collectively need to identify new and innovative ways in which we support the full potentials of our students, colleagues, and communities in interconnected global interactions. To this end, we need to review our existing policies in education, expanding our research to foster more collaboration and interdisciplinary connection to provide solutions and alternatives to problems that might arise as the consequence of the changing times.

Muslim reverence for the Qur'an as the Word of God has manifested itself in various artistic forms throughout history and up to the present day. This innovative collection of essays explores creative expressions of the Qur'an in a wide range of media. Contributors include museum curators and leading academics in art and architectural history, palaeography and material anthropology, and their studies span four continents and cover topics from medieval coins and early illuminated copies of the Qur'an to contemporary painting. In its pursuit to equip the reader with a basic knowledge of Islamic economics, this book divulges the micro-foundations of the discipline, and highlights the predominant schools of thought that exist in the field. It explains, in simple terms, what Islamic economics entails and how it can be studied as a science in relation to the Holy Quran, the Sunnah and the Islamic intellectual tradition based on these two sources. The book familiarizes the reader with knowledge of the basic maxims of the discipline. It then establishes the arguments that are presented by the proponents of religion-based economics, specifically Islam, and apprises readers about the aforementioned schools as they exist.
