Following the successful of previous conference, 3rd International Conference on Administrative Science, Policy, and Governance Studies (ICAS-PGS) in strategic alliance with 4th International Conference of Business Administration and Policy (ICBAP) 2019 will be held on October 30-31, 2019 in Universitas Indonesia, Depok, West Java, Indonesia. This year’s conference theme is “Strengthening Strategic Administrative Reform Policy to Promote Competitiveness and Innovation in Industrial Revolution 4.0: The Opportunities and Challenges.” This conference is hosted by Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI). The conference covers debates over problematic situation, theoretical frameworks, as well as prescribed policies the way that governments, businesses, and civil societies essentially need to outline strategies to realize reform commitment and achieve change efficacy for purposes of harnessing innovation while considering the opportunities and challenges as well as maintaining sustainability, engaging in a more dynamic predicament such as regulatory frameworks that affect relations of multiple governance actors in today’s dynamic towards Industrial Revolution 4.0. The main objective of this conference is to discuss and debate the recent trends in administrative science on a range of issues such as public, business, and fiscal and the interconnectedness of all in Industrial Revolution 4.0. This conference is aimed to bring researchers, academicians, scientists, policymakers, professional managers, students, and other related stakeholders; together to participate and present their latest research findings, developments, and practical solutions related to the various aspects of administrative challenges in public and private sector. The general theme of 3rd ICAS-PGS and 4th ICBAP 2019 is “Strengthening Strategic Administrative Reform Policy to Promote Competitiveness and Innovation in Industrial Revolution 4.0: The Opportunities and Challenges.” The conferences consist of three streams representing differences of focus and scopes of research interests within the discipline of public, business, and fiscal administration and policy. Over many decades the global development of professional accounting education programmes has been undertaken by higher education institutions, professional accounting bodies, and employers. These institutions have sometimes co-operated and sometimes been in conflict over the education and/or training of future accounting professionals. These ongoing problems of linkage and closure between academic accounting education and professional training have new currency because of pressures from students and employers to move accounting preparation onto a more efficient, economic and practical basis. The Interface of Accounting Education and Professional Training explores current elements of the interface between the academic education and professional training of accountants in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the UK. It argues for a reassessment of the considerations and requirements for developing professional accounting programs which can make a student: capable of being an accountant (the academy); ready to be an accountant (the workplace); and professional in being an accountant (the professional bodies). This book was originally published as a special issue of Accounting Education: An International Journal.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Mining Complex Data, MCD 2007, held in Warsaw, Poland, in September 2007, co-located with ECML and PKDD 2007. The 20 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected; they present original results on knowledge discovery from complex data. In contrast to the typical tabular data, complex data can consist of heterogenous data types, can come from different sources, or live in high dimensional spaces. All these specificities call for new data mining strategies.

This book is dedicated to the memory of Michael Marinov, the theorist who, together with Felix Berezin, introduced the classical description of spin by anticommuting Grassmann variables. It contains original papers and reviews by physicists and mathematicians written specifically for the book. These articles reflect the current status and recent developments in the areas of Marinov''s research: quantum tunneling, quantization of constrained systems, supersymmetry, and others. The personal recollections included portray the human face of M Marinov, a person of great knowledge and integrity.

The general theme is designed to allow for a wide range of topics, covering the diverse nature of academic enquiry in banking and finance. The contributions thus address a broad spectrum of contemporary issues including bank diversification and securitization activities; bank regulatory reforms and competition; the performance of mutual funds and alternative asset classes; role of liquidity in price discovery for credit derivatives; and the existence of the compass rose pattern within option contracts market.
