What colors do you like? This bright and colorful photographic book will teach young readers about all of the different colors through catchy rhymes. Each color is shown with a photograph to help children associate colors to things they see in real life, like a green frog and green leaves. "A yellow duck. A yellow spoon. A yellow cup. A yellow balloon. I like yellow. Yes, I do. Do you like yellow, too?" Repetitive text, simple word patterns, and bright photographs teach children about colors and color words.

Millions of people have learned to draw using the methods of Dr. Betty Edwards's bestseller The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Now, much as artists progress from drawing to painting, Edwards moves from black-and-white into color. This much-awaited new guide distills the enormous existing knowledge about color theory into a practical method of working with color to produce harmonious combinations. Using techniques tested and honed in her five-day intensive color workshops, Edwards provides a basic understanding of how to see color, how to use it, and-for those involved in art, painting, or design-how to mix and combine hues. Including more than 125 color images and exercises that move from simple to challenging, this volume explains how to: see what is really there rather than what you "know" in your mind about colored objects perceive how light affects color, and how colors affect one another manipulate hue, value, and intensity of color and transform colors into their opposites balance color in still-life, landscape, figure, and portrait painting understand the psychology of color harmonize color in your surroundings While we recognize and treasure the beautiful use of color, reproducing what we see can be a challenge. Accessibly unweaving color's complexity, this must-have primer is destined to be an instant classic.

"There's something wrong with this place." Several seemingly unrelated stories, all set in a western, modern, futuristic town in the middle of a frosty Summer, unfold about an unassuming poet, Judas Iscariot, who lost his parents as a child and drinks milk alone in his apartment above the town's saloon. One story is set in two frames of time as Judas is feverishly attempting to solve violent murders in a suddenly booming Clock Shop, another story involves a Wolf and a form of secret communication through a Wastebasket (all in the form of one, epic poem), and yet ANOTHER story takes place on a gallant pirate spaceship, crossing multiple dimensions of time and space. However, the one story that binds them all together is a mere love story that is stock full of dangers and impossibilities, all to meet a single end that will tie up a saga of heartache and unrealistic injuries, all taken by a slightly chunky and incredibly deadly poet.
