Follow the continuing adventures of Juliet Sinclair as she searches for the truth in Regency England Juliet, A Sinclair Society Short Story: The story begins... Just returned from a few weeks in London, seventeen-year-old Juliet Sinclair is eager to convince her mother that they should have a house party. These plans are forgotten when terrible news arrives concerning her brother. Juliet is not prepared for how her life is about to change. Regency Rumors: Juliet Sinclair knows her family are not traitors to the crown-the difficulty is in proving it. Driven by a desire to save the Sinclair name from disgrace, Juliet seeks assistance from her father's old friends, the Burnhams. Unfortunately, her arrival does not go as expected, and Juliet finds herself mistakenly assuming the role of lady's maid to Mrs. Burnham and her daughter Eugenia. This unintentional appointment provides her with an opportunity to gain Mrs. Burnham's confidence and to investigate the treasonous rumors against her family as she assists Eugenia with preparations for her first London Season. But a grave threat hangs over the denizens of Burnham House, and Juliet has uncovered evidence that might prevent the family from suffering her own disastrous fate... if she can reveal the truth in time. The Debutante: Juliet Sinclair knows her brother was murdered-now if only she could understand why. Proving her family innocent of treason is taking a toll on lady-turned-maid Juliet. Her latest investigation has brought her into the service of the spoiled Miss Dunbar and her salacious older brother, who pursues Juliet despite repeated rebuffs. Complicating matters further is the reappearance of Juliet's former beau who has not yet learned to do without her, and a growing attraction between herself and her brother's witty--and handsome--best friend. Even with these distractions, Juliet begins to piece together the events surrounding her brother's final days--and his connection to a mysterious figure named only as "H." But Juliet's ruse is under threat of revelation, and her blackmailer is one who will not hesitate to burn her unless she gives him what he wants: every document related to her brother's former role as a spy for His Majesty against the French. Clarendon Estate: Juliet Sinclair must unmask a murderer before her own false identity is revealed... Clarendon Estate, the country home of Sir Horace and Lady Celia Leith, has been a refuge for Juliet Sinclair after the traumatic events of Bath. It may also be the home of a murderer. All signs point to a significant connection between Sir Horace and Juliet's brother, and the more she investigates, the stronger her belief that the man may be the mysterious H she is searching for. But revealing a murderer has consequences Juliet hadn't expected. In continuing her ruse of servitude, Juliet finds herself forming a close bond with Lady Leith as they thwart the designs of Sir Horace's domineering mother, a woman who will do all she can to keep control of the household. Can Juliet condemn her new friend to a life with such a woman as her only family? Time is running short. A house party is set to descend on Clarendon, bringing with it the threat of more than one person who may reveal Juliet's true identity and destroy her careful plans to keep her name above scandal. But the truth is closer than she realizes...

The British folk/punk singer-songwriter shares an intimate rags-to-riches memoir of constant touring, artistic expression, and self-reinvention. In the fall of 2005, Frank Turner was virtually unheard of. His rock band, Millions Dead, was finishing up a grueling tour and had agreed that their show on September 23rd would be their last. The entry on the band’s schedule for September 24th read simply: “Get a job.” Cut to July 2012—the London Olympics, where Turner and his backing band, The Sleeping Souls, are playing the pre-show, after having headlined sold-out arena shows across the UK. The Road Beneath My Feet is the unvarnished story of how Turner went from drug-fueled house parties and the grimy club scene to international prominence and acclaim. Told through tour reminiscences, it is an intimate account of what it’s like to spend your life constantly on the road, sleeping on floors, invariably jetlagged, all for the love of playing live music.

Michael Langelaan's first book, "A Life Interrupted" explores the sometimes-stormy relationship between parents and their children. It is the story of Alex Fray, a troubled man who had been given up at birth by his biological parents. It would be an understatement to say that there were challenges during Alex's early years, which include two sets of adoptive parents, encounters with the law, experimentation with drugs, and poor school grades; however, the author cleverly utilizes the character's foibles and inadequacies to form the basis for a compelling tale of courage and determination. Alex is faced with emotional and physical obstacles in his quest to find the love and acceptance he so desperately seeks, but his journey eventually leads him home, culminating in a bizarre twist of fate that reveals his true identity. "A Life Interrupted" underscores the impact that parents' words and behaviour have on their children's lives, and demonstrates how some parental decisions can lead to dire consequences. I have suffered on so many fronts, losing my health to losing my family and all the pain that that caused me. I spent a whole year and more seemingly holding on through the worst storm I have ever been in. Physically there is still a long way to go and a long road is still before me but I know that God is not finished with healing me. Physically my recovery has been very slow and frustrating and I am sure that my frustration has shown itself in the pages of this book, however I can clearly say that I would not be where I am today without my faith in God. One Sunday members of my church prayed for me because I had just had results that showed that their was no nerve activity in my legs below my knees and that according to the doctors showed that I did have nerve damage in my legs, however a week after their prayers for me God gave me the strength to walk into church on my crutches. I had been able for some weeks to walk short distances around my home on my crutches with splints controlling the position of my feet so that I did not drag my toes on the floor. Although my lower legs were not healed of their weakness God gave me the strength to walk further than I had ever walked before, and for me that told me that without prayer we can not overcome or expect to see positive results. Prayer is always the answer as is Jesus! I still find today that I have to be very careful with how much I do on any given day as busy days do result in me being very fatigued. My energy levels do dip quite badly, living with disabilities does mean doing things differently and adapting and I have found that every day has its own set of challenges where it comes to my physical weaknesses. However I have found that when I lean on God he always gives me enough strength for each day.
