George Hubbard immigrated to America with his wife, Mary Bishop, and two oldest children, ca. 1633. He is supposed to have been born in Essex or Surry County, England, ca. 1594. They settled in Wethersfield, Connecticut, where four more children were born. In 1639, the family moved to Milford, in the Long Island Sound, where their youngest child was born. The family moved to Guilford, Connecticut, before 1650. He died in Guilford in 1682. Descendants lived in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Indiana, Michigan, and elsewhere.
