About the Author Jillian Robinson is an avid animal lover and a vet assistant in training with dreams of becoming a registered veterinarian technician. Born and raised in sunny San Diego, California, she attended San Diego Mesa College to attain an Associate’s Degree in English Literature and Writing. While she loved animals, she also loved to write and hoped to combine the two passions one day. In this comprehensive guide, you will experience Jillian’s special love for all things reptilian in each enthusiastic sentence. Through her passionate prose, she invites readers to share in her excitement as she explores and explains how to create your own little slice of Nature. Jillian’s love of reptiles started in her early years when she watched Godzilla 1954 for the first time. From that moment on, she was enamored by all things scaly and lacertilian. Though she was never allowed a pet reptile as a child, the drive to eventually own one never faded. Only as an adult would she finally achieve her childhood dream. As a beginner reptile keeper, she only wanted the best for her three Jones Armadillo lizards, so she gave them a bioactive terrarium that resembled their native environment. HowExpert publishes quick how to guides on all topics from A to Z by everyday experts.

The obligation to treat animals used in research ethically and humanely extends beyond their lives in the laboratory to include their transportation from place to place. Yet transporting animals is a highly regulated and complex process that raises many difficult issues. To examine these issues, the Roundtable on Science and Welfare in Laboratory Animal Use held a workshop on September 3-4, 2014, in Washington, DC. More than 200 people participated in the workshop in person and online, including representatives of academic research institutions, pharmaceutical and consumer product companies, government agencies, research advocacy groups, professional associations, and the public. The workshop was designed to draw attention to the essential thoughtful journey planning behind each transport of laboratory animals.
