Programs offered by vocational schools are the most popular. These typically last between six months and a year and offer a certificate upon completion. Though relatively short, these programs are intense and packed with a great deal of knowledge and hands-on experience. Regardless of the type and length of formal training, however, on-the-job training is usually needed after graduation to qualify for the best jobs.
