The Queen of the HIlls mine is in the Eureka mining district on Deriar Creek, and is about 7 miles by road northwest of Salmon. At various times it has been known as the Queen of the Hills, the Amagosa, the Copper QUeen, and the Queen and Crescent.

The Silver Star Mine is located in Gold Star Gulch, a tributary of the East Fork of Boyle (now Tower) Creek, in an unorganized mining area about 12 miles north of Salmon.

The Spring Mountain Mine, also known as the Big Windy, is the consolidaiton of the Elizabeth and Teddy mines, on the Lost River side of Spring Mountain in the Lemhi Range. Technically, the mines are just outside the Spring Mountain MIning District.

The Goldstone Mine is in the Sandy Creek Mining District (an area that is sometimes included in the Pratt Creek District).

This two-volume set cites books, pamphlets, maps, music, directories, and other published materials (excluding materials from technical and popular magazines and newspapers) on the history of mining in the American and Canadian West. Topics covered include prospecting, mining rushes and camps, and mining finance, labor, technology, law, literature, and lore. The initial portion provides general information on mining and metalurgical technology. The subsequent regional sections are subdivided into refined historical studies, raw materials, fictional and poetic treatments, and bibliographical guides to further materials.
