The main focus is the 130 page depiction of the eight townships of the East Reserve (RM of Hanover), and Scratching River area. Each township section consists of 5 maps and descriptive text: an original survey, a homesteader, aerial photo, village lands/trials, and historical sites. Another component is the published historical maps of the East Reserve, each contributing to the understanding of the development of the East Reserve. The Atlas also includes sections on indigenous peoples, earliest European settlement, ethnic origins of the various groups, and out-migration."--
